Which
buildings are exempt from the requirement to provide an EPC?
The following buildings are exempt from requiring an EPC:
- places
of worship;
·
- stand-alone
buildings of less than 50 square metres measured on a gross internal
area basis (except dwellings);
·
- temporary
buildings with a planned use of 2 years or less
particular buildings with low energy demand;
- in
certain limited circumstances, buildings that are to be demolished;
·
- off-plan
sales or lettings before the construction of the building has been
completed;
·
- commercial
buildings that do not have any form of heating, ventilation or air
conditioning (except shell and core buildings).
